This was a lovely place to stay. If you are after a very quiet place away from it all, then you should stay here. Lovely restaurant around the corner, you can borrow bikes from the hotel for free to get about, they also have a Mahjong table for guests to play. The service was brilliant, and we got upgraded to a bigger room for free. Thank you so much.

I spent 10 weeks in China and this was the best place I stayed. I stayed for 6 nights. There is one reason for that and that is the staff. They are all excellent, so polite friendly and helpful. The 3 amazing reception staff speak great English and will help you with anything regarding your stay but are also willing to have a chat about anything which is so welcoming as many other hotels do not have English speaking staff. I will not mention any member of staff because they are all great, including breakfast staff , cleaners etc, the whole team.
The location is great next to the lakes and central for everything in Guilin. The room was large, bed comfortable, hot shower, great Wi-Fi and good air con. Breakfast was lovely and a good western/Chinese variety. If you are coming to Guilin I highly recommend you stay here.

We loved everything about Guilin Bonjour Boutique! Both Maggie and Helen were absolutely lovely and they were super helpful for our short stay. The room itself was so clean, so comfortable and it was everything we needed and more. The location of the hotel is in a little village called Lujiacun and into the ‘city centre’ where some attractions are - it’s a quick 15-20 minute DiDi. So many great food options in Guilin. It was so nice to come back to peace and quiet after an evening out for dinner.
Amazing service and both Maggie and Helen made us an early breakfast before our cruise down to Yangshuo. We can’t recommend this hotel enough and we loved our stay.

Boutique hotel with excellent hospitality. Clean and comfortable and location was good. Note that all rooms are Japanese tatami type and therefore low mattress on the raised floor. Unfortunately, my Dad had a knee problem so getting on and off the low bed was an issue for him. Otherwise, the hotel was very good with a local vibe. Get a higher floor room with a view. Worth it. Nothing to see on the lower levels.

桂林山水甲天下、人为保护意识差。酒店民宿管理亟待加强。
桂林山水甲天下、人为保护意识差。酒店民宿管理亟待加强。临江有闲别院酒店的住宿体验如下:This hotel specializes in scamming and mistreating unsuspecting foreigners. I was placed in a room with over 60 mosquitoes and recorded video footage. Although the staff changed my room, the 2nd room also had over 60 mosquitoes. They take care of mosquitoes better than they take care of guests. The staff then just gave me an electric fly swatter and told me to "deal with it". The TV was also broken. I asked the staff about it and they claimed I "didn't know how to turn it on and was operating it wrong". Even though I kindly asked them to show me how to turn it on, they were absolutely disrespectful in their refusal. I have photo and video footage of not only mosquitoes and flies. Horrific experience, avoid this place at all costs.

Guilin is a magical city, with beautiful views everywhere.
Guilin is a magical city, with beautiful views everywhere. The Prince's Palace is slightly older than the Forbidden City in Beijing and has many parts to explore. The climb to the top of the Solitary Beauty Peak at the back of Jingjiang Prince’s Palace at sunset is stunning. Karst scenery is the backdrop to a diverse and decorated skyline. Once darkness arrives, the city comes alive with lights everywhere. Glowing Bridges, boats, islands, ancient relics and the iconic Sun and Moon Temples towering over the water create a carnival for the eyes. Musicians and dancers fill the air and their joyous parades spill out along the walkways. The waterways ring the city and there are boat cruises. The boulevards downtown have wide sidewalks and are tree lined, which makes for pleasant strolling. There are something like 7 different bridges all with different scenic views of the waterways that were once part of the defense system for the ancient rulers. Guilin has been a poplular tourist destination for years, so there are a fair amount of English speakers and hip coffee houses and restaurants. It is also a jumping off point for tours to the Longji Rice Terraces, Ancient Villages and Li River cruises. All in all, we wished we had more allowed more time in Guilin as the people are charming and there were more museums and parks to explore.

Guilin is a very colourful city, especially at night.
Guilin is a very colourful city, especially at night. The markets have handmade items to buy, lots of sweet mandarins and kumquats as well. The city Centre has a selection of quaint Chinese Restaurants and western bars. Many of the locals speak very good English which makes communication easier. A truly delightful place to visit with many interesting places to explore just outside the city.

Guilin is a very nice place for relaxation, people are very kind and as a small city, all activities are within walking distance. If you want to see the real beauty of Guilin, it's better to go to Xinping where you can enjoy the old town, nice mountains (drawn on 20 Yuan banknote), and river cruise. Also, you can go to the elephant trunk park (make it around the afternoon). Impression light show in Yangshou is not as expected. so you may escape it. Reed flute cave is nice medium-size one, if you have been to another one, you may escape it. All in all, it's worth to visit the city and enjoy nature. Don't forget to install Didi taxi service. It's available in English.

Guilin taxi drivers understand marketing and customer...
Guilin taxi drivers understand marketing and customer service and my Goo Hotel was efficient, but l have passed thru Guilin many times only to find the city beautiful but people in general not really very friendly.... especially if you don't speak Chinese. It is pretty clear that all the people want is your money. l have lived in Zhuhai for 18 years and avoid Guilin other than just passing through on my way to Yangshuo...or Longji Titian. LM sorry.
The hotel accept the foreign travellers! I searched many hotels in Guilin However They don't accept foreigners.
Hotel was located in the central area of Guilin and could easy access to all the famous spot of Guilin. I took the 20min taxi from the Guilin North station to the hotel, total cost me 30yuan.
The family room was big, one queen size bed plus one King size bed. Which is very comfortable.
The staff was also very nice, you can obtain whatever info from the staff.
The location and the quality you get for this price is awesome. The view - amazing! (Don’t hesitate to ask the receptionist to give you a remote from the rooftop door, if it’s closed.)
I highly suggest you to add them on WeChat, as it’s easier to communicate with the front desk by chat. They also can provide you with some tips and suggestions on where you can go.
Overall, I will recommend this place to all my friends, when they visit Guilin.
Absolutely incredible stay. Hotel room was clean, comfortable and what made the experience so exceptional were the staff. They helped us arrange tours, transportation, prepared beautiful breakfast and also helped us order food to the hotel and packed us a takeaway breakfast. Really felt special staying here.
I can’t recommend this hotel enough! It was also very close to the town centre and main attractions in the area.
The staff here are really great. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located right by the lake so we took advantage of this and walked round the lake a few times. Even in the rain it was lovely. Room very comfortable with a great view over the lake. The hotel is full of art pieces and stylish features. If we went to Guilin again we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
It was a charming hotel, with a great location.
Every morning, people danced on the street on the other side of the road, witch was a very pleasant way to start the day.
The room was very spacious, with a great bed, huge window and a stunning view.
Bruce Yi was very welcoming and Jenny (the sales manager) arranged us all the tours that we wanted to do. Very efficient.
It is located in a park, where various kinds of trees provide perfect shade for the walking path. One can have a great view of the famous scene "Elephant Trunk Hill" from the park's observation deck. The staff is extremely friendly and is always there for guests. The hotel provides drinking water and fruits to guests. I would highly recommend it to visitors to Guilin.
This is an exceptional, exquisite property - in itself worth the trip to Guilin!! It used to he a small museum, and it is full of beautiful artwork and artifacts, including displays of fragments of Ming pottery found when the lake was recently expanded!! Rooms are beautifully appointed and comfortable. Tremendous value.
The location was really good, staffs were nice. We booked a family room for 4 adults and a 6 year old kid, the bed room was in a good size and clean.
We were able to walk to the elephant park from the hotel.
The Guilin mi fen (near the hotel) that the receptionist recommend was really nice and good value. Thanks 😊
Very good location. Close to shops, Guilin North railway station and bus stop (Bus no. 18 takes you to downtown at a cost of 2 yuan only). Staff are super helpful. You can ask them anything (They helped us to book a karaoke room). The hostel has a piano, a guitar and a ukelele, if you need to practise.
Everyone is incredibly warm, welcoming, and friendly. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. The rooms were clean and cozy and the breakfast was delicious. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it for anyone wishing to explore the beautiful city of Guilin!
Luca really makes this place - he is incredibly helpful and suggested an itinerary that allowed me to see Yangshou and Xingpeng in a day given I had three days in Guilin and assisted with my bookings. The hostel also has a bar, which is ideal to meet other travellers. Happy I stayed here.
The hotel surrounding is scenic, morning coffee is surprisingly good. We appreciate the housekeeper Xiao Ming and the tour manager Xiao Qin efforts to ensure we are comfortable and complete my foodie list search. Their excellent service made our Guilin trip a memorable tour.
The location of the hotel is good. It is surrounded with many eating outlets and shopping outlets. It has a tour desk counter for day tour as well. Front desk staff is polite and energetic. Breakfast hall staff is polite as well. Room is clean and comfort.
Lovely and clean accomodation. Very kind staff! they helped me with the booking of several tours during my stay in Guilin .
Good location. The nearest bus station is 3 minutes from Junshue hotel. Guilin railway station around 15 minutes by car.
Very nice hotel with a great location and facilities. We particularly enjoyed the kindness of the staff who made our stay in Guilin a very nice moment, in particular Melody who kindly helped us organize our day-trips. Thanks again.
Good view, nice interior and bathroom and conveniently close to the airport! The two pagodas are about 30 minutes from the hotel by car. There is a nice park near the hotel and a mall where you can grab some McDonald's.
The hotel is in a perfect location and is very easy to walk around. The staff was really helpful and so kind, they really made the stay worth it. The bathroom was large and had a really nice shower/ bath.
Jenny was very helpful organising our Li river cruise and other visits to the attraction places around Guilin. She is very easy to deal with and speaks good English.
Great location too.
The location was superb, the hotel was immaculate and the staff were were friendly and efficient. We were assisted by Candy at the front desk and she was absolutely brilliant. Thank you.
Very clean and comfortable!
The team was great and were able to help out with the travel planning to and from the hotel.
